KS3 Homework Tasks
Below are some of the homework tasks you will be set by your teacher throughout KS3.

Anachronism Shoe Box
In lessons you will have learnt what an Anachronism is. For this task you are going to create an anachronism diorama. You will need to decide a historical setting in which your anachronism will take place. Remember the more subtle your anachronism is the more effective the diorama will be.
The first thing you need to do is read the diorama help sheet. Make sure you take careful note of the success criteria.

You will be making a leaflet about the Black Death you will need to include:
1. The causes of the Black Death.
2. The events of the Black Death.
3. Beliefs and cures of the Black Death.
4. Medieval medicine. (Extension for Level 6-7 students)
You can include adverts and diary entries to make your leaflet more interesting.

Titanic Brochure
Design a White Star Line brochure for the Titanic which advertises first class, second class and third class tickets. We are going to pretend this brochure has been found in the booking office with a completed form showing the names of original passengers who bought tickets.

Rosa Parks Story Book
You have been asked to prepare an educational story book about the Civil Rights Movement suitable for a Year 7 Student. You must tell the story as if you are Rosa Parks. The book is entitled “The spark that ignited the Civil Rights Movement” which refers to Rosa Park’s actions which led to the Montgomery bus Boycott.

World War One Memorials
Your task is to research and describe the impact of World War I through research into memorials and the records of those who fought in the war.
You are to write a report about a WW1 memorial (if possible from your local area)
There are many memorials in Britain and lots in the local area. Search the internet, and ask people you know to find out where the nearest is. Once you have done so, gather information about the memorial and write a report on it.

Prepare a government leaflet advising British citizens how to prepare for the Blitz. You should describe in as much detail as you can:
